Next up in our Sunday Girl meets Oasis series is our lovely receptionist Emma. We got to chatting about desert island essentials, why sun cream is a must when the sun arrives and how the classic trilby is a lifesaver whatever the weather.

The sun has been on its best behaviour lately. When it’s truly cracking the flags, how do you spend your day?
I like to spend my summer day with friends and family in a beer garden or in the park having a picnic.

What’s your go-to sunny day outfit? Any personal summer style essentials?
My summer outfits would be a flowy midi dress or a midi skirt and top.

When you’re packing for your holidays, what always makes an appearance in your suitcase?
My trusty trilby hat.

We’re going to make that one a little harder now. You’re stranded on a desert island and you’ve only got space for three items – what are they?
This is a hard question but my factor 50 sun cream because I’m a English rose, second item would be my lip balm I can’t live without and bottle of wine.

Summer isn’t summer without a great sunny day playlist! What summer tune is guaranteed to get you dancing?
It’s got to be Summertime by Will Smith. That is my jam for the summer!

How would you describe your personal style?
Plain Jane meets quirky.

Whose wardrobe would you love to raid? Any personal style icons?
Fearne Cotton.

What’s the best piece of style advice you’ve ever been given?
Either match it or clash it.

Tell us a little bit more about what you do at Oasis.
I’m the receptionist answering all the calls, welcoming our guest to oasis and helping people as much as I can.

And what’s your favourite part about working at Oasis?
My favourite part of working with Oasis is the people. We have a really good team – they’re like a family!

Have you fallen in love with Emma’s beautiful pleated swing skirt as much as we have? Why not visit the Holiday Shop and snap one up in every colour?
