This month we’re celebrating the launch of our perfectly-printed collaboration with the Museum of Royal Worcester. So, who better to feature as our latest Sunday Girls than some of the lovely team who work at the museum?
First up is Aurelie, who talks to us about places to visit on a rainy summer’s day and how comfort equals confidence when it comes to summer style, all among the beautiful porcelain in the museum’s archive.
Tell us a little bit about your role at the Museum of Royal Worcester.
I support the team with administration tasks.
And tell us something we need to know about YOU.
I’m French and I’ve lived in Great Britain for over 20 years. I come from the Champagne region in France. My husband is English and we have 9 year old twins. I used to be a volunteer at the museum and then started working here part time. I enjoy yoga and spin classes, going to the theatre/cinema and singing for fun in a choir.
We obviously love florals – pop a petal on anything and we’re wearing it! What items in the Museum of Royal Worcester and Oasis collaboration are your favourites?
I can’t pick one. They’re all great!
What are your favourite pieces in the Museum’s collection itself?
The Renaissance style collection.
On a typical day at work, what would we find you wearing?
Relatively formal clothes I guess. I tend to wear more skirts or dresses in the summer. Definitely brighter colours and flowery patterns.
The sun is finally starting to peep through the clouds and we’re getting ready for summer! What are your personal summer style essentials?
Mid-length dresses or skirts. Light/fluid fabrics or cropped trousers.
And what three songs make the soundtrack to your summer?
Summer Nights by Travolta and Newton John, Holiday by Madonna and All I Wanna Do by Sheryl Crow.
How would you describe your style? Girly? Glam? Sporty? Laid back?
It really depends on the occasion. I like to wear clothes that feel comfortable and make me feel confident.
It’s a rainy day – it is British summertime after all! How do you spend your time when the heavens open? Any must-see spots close by?
We tend to go to National Trust or English Heritage Estates for walks! Croome park is fantastic for family visits whatever the weather. And of course, there is the Worcester Cathedral and The Museum of Royal Worcester. The Hive library is also a great place for all ages.
Finally, describe the collaboration in three words.
Exciting, refreshing and elegant.
