Michelle Prosser Assistant to the Managing Director ‘I don’t like to let summer dresses gather dust until the sun comes out again so I like to re-work them by layering for winter. To keep it cool I added a vintage rock T and opaque tights with my fave platform boots’. My style: Anything and everything Michelle wears Vintage Rock T, Angled Pocket Bandeau Dress & Studded Crossover Belt

GIRL FRIDAY19/02/2010 - 15:07 |

Amy Claridge Senior Merchandising Admin Assistant
"As it’s a Friday I chose a day to evening outfit, the dress is a classic shape with a v shape drop backdetail. I loved the emphasised shoulders as they are a feminine take on the structured look. By adding a studded belt I felt it was the perfect outfit for an evening out! My personal style is normally quite casual but I love using accessories to make an outfit more exciting!!" Amy wears Backless Shift Dress & Studded Cross Over Belt

LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION - OASIS PRIZE!22/02/2010 - 11:19 |

Last Friday afternoon I found myself at London College of Fashion for the BA Fashion part-time degree show, and for two reasons. Firstly I was there to support Oasis; since 2001, Oasis has sponsored the BA (Hons) Fashion Management course. Students are judged on their final year dissertations and the winners are awarded cash prizes. Our Head of Design, Iain Ewing, was there to present the awards along with Lauretta Roberts the Fashion Editor for Drapers magazine. This year’s winners were Katie Travis, Emma Philpott and Cara Ward. (Keep an eye out in Drapers!)
The secondly, I was there was there was because my friends and I are design students at LCF and our work was showcased in the catwalk show! It was slightly nerve raking and exciting experience (a little like watching yourself on camera) but it was amazing to see our garments on a catwalk.....
Stand out designs included an oversize quilted clutch by Carine Thomas from the sustainable show case. From the final graduate collections Agnieskzka Pociecha’s showed us bold pieces elegantly draped & cut with a strong use of red throughout. Gintare Jankun’s collection was a mix of ruffled sleeves and abstract animal prints.
Congratulations to all of the winners of this years Oasis prize and to the LCF graduates.
