Somerset House

We can’t wait for a taste of ‘la dolce vita’ a little closer to home this July, and catch a glimpse into the archives of Italian fashion houses Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo, Gucci, Missoni and Prada. Peroni Nastro Azzurro has collaborated with these six brands and legendary fashion writer Colin McDowell to create the photographic exhibition, Masters of Style: Celebrating the stories behind Italian fashion, hosted at London’s Somerset House.

Showcasing the passion, flair and creativity of Italian style, you can expect to see iconic images chosen by the designers themselves for a behind the scenes look at these luxury brands. If you’ve been to Somerset House before you’ll know it’s a fantastic place to spend the day for exhibits and events, accompanied by fantastic views, and delicious restaurants and cafés. If you haven’t been, the home of London Fashion Week really is a spectacular venue to expore, made all the more exciting by the 55 fountains adorning the courtyard during Summer.

Masters of Style is at Somerset House from 1 July to 14 August, click here for more details.

WE HEART MARGEILA

We have long been a fan of exquisite designer Maison Martin Margeila so have planned a day visiting the ’20 Exhibition’ this Saturday before the exhibition closes on Sunday! Hosted at the fabulous Somerset House (which will be playing host to LFW in just a few weeks!), the exhibition celebrates 20 years of one of fashion’s most influential and enigmatic designers!

First started in 1990, the fashion house has had an enormous impact on our understanding of fashion and twenty years on this exhibition really makes us think about fashion, how we clothe our bodies and the ideals of human beauty – don’t miss this one!
