It's official: we have a girl crush on Karen Gillan! We've been following her 60s-inspired style ever since we saw this redhead steal the screen in Dr Who... and we're just as hooked with her laid back luxe look off screen.

So tonight, it's over to Manhattan, before Carrie Bradshaw et al showcased their inimitable style as Karen takes the lead role as 60s supermodel Jean Shrimpton opposite Aneurin Barnard as infamous 60s photographer, David Bailey. The scene is their 1962 Vogue photoshoot, marking their first encounter and resulting love affair. The swinging 60s shot against the ever glamorous backdrop of NYC and tracing the journey of too such exciting (and gorgeous) leads? We'll take our seat on the sofa now!

There’s some seriously hot albums coming out right now - Tinie Tempah’s Disc-Overy is the long awaited debut from the rather stylish London boy who has stormed the singles charts this year. Also after a five year break the indie folk pin up Sufjan Stevens release his new album ‘The Age of Adz’ – pronounced ‘The Age Of Odds’ it certainly does have some odd sounding melodies entwined with Sufjan’s vocals. And back with a vengeance Charlotte Church’s new album Back To Scratch will be released in October – expect some heartfelt love songs about her split with Gav!

The nights are definitely drawing in – it’s almost dark by the time we’re leaving work! You could spend your nights in cosy pubs by open fires or you could check out everything TV has to offer at the moment. From the X Factor live shows to the schoolboy humour of The Inbetweeners to our favourite – Masterchef The Professionals, there is so much on tv to keep us hooked! Add into the mix new reality tv show Seven Days and one we are excited really about – The Only Way Is Essex (a soap opera-cum-documentary which has been touted as the Essex version of The Hills) – and you have no excuse to leave the house again!

If you are anything like us your Halloween costume always ends up a last minute attempt and you usually end up going as a sexy witch like every other girl that’s at your Halloween Party. So now is the time to get planning your costume! All it takes is a few spare hours here and there and you can knock up something really rather impressive – we’re thinking things made from cereal boxes, paper mache and more! But one word of advice – don’t go as anything to do with Lady Gaga – it’s just too cliché! Think more Katy Perry and her weird and wonderful outfits in the California Girls video!
