We could not be more delighted that Adele is going to be the cover star for the October issue of UK Vogue. A real favourite at Oasis HQ, we love her vintage-inspired styling as much as her gorgeous melodies... With her infectious sense of humour, who wouldn't want a night on the tiles with this superstar? 

We'll be queuing round the block on Thursday morning when the magazine hits the news stands for our fix of this very British pop star. Adele - let's be friends!  

Yes, it’s our favourite time again – the April editions of the monthly glossies have hit the news stands and we’re busy scouring their pages for the latest style tips and trends! It seems it’s officially a battle of the blondes this month as Gwen Stefani and Kate Winslet go head to head on the covers, for ELLE and Vogue respectively.

For Kate Winslet, it’s the chance to show off a gorgeous new cropped ‘do in a noticeably more platinum shade of blonde, and as photographed by fashion photographer extraordinaire Mario Testino. Catwalk Queen have described her new hairstyle as ‘a mixture between Victoria Beckham's tousled bob and Gwyneth Paltrow's choppy 'do from Sliding Doors’ - we say, we love this edgier look on Kate! Her classic beauty is matched with a timeless Little Black Dress by Roland Mouret, a designer favoured by everyone from Victoria Beckham to Cameron Diaz.

Over at ELLE, they have secured pop chameleon Gwen Stefani for their cover. Gwen has also opted for a stunningly simple evening dress, in this case from French label Lanvin. We love seeing Gwen in this glamorous forties style with dark lips and gently tousled hair, a really grown up look for this kooky stylista.

Last night we hosted "A Night of 1000 Prizes" for Vogue’s Fashion Night Out. Throughout the night our fabulous host gave away just some of the below AMAZING prizes including an ASUS state of the art bamboo laptop, 20 Toni&Guy grooming kits, a Years worth of Jergens Moisturiser, a Years worth of Benefit make up, a stay in the luxury Malmaison Hotel and a Luxury Spa Day at The Sanctuary. What’s more there were loads of top amazing Oasis prizes too including a Styling Session with a Vogue stylist plus one lucky lucky lady won A Shopping Dash around our store! In 30 seconds our winner Louise managed to grab so many amazing pieces including 2 leather jackets (why couldn’t we win that one!).

The best part of the night was when the customers received text messages on their mobiles telling them what prizes were being given away, they rushed from nowhere to the special ‘Lucky Me’ spot where the first person there could claim their prize. Our host had to do his very best to stop fights breaking over who won what!

All this action was played out to the backdrop of retro tunes from The Broken Hearts, mini bottles of cava and Benefit make overs! What a perfect night!

We are counting down the days to the Vogue Fashion Night Out! Held next Wednesday in our Argyll Street store, there are LOADS of prizes to be won!
