Let us introduce you to Betty – your new best friend. Started as a University project, Betty began life as a gorgeous online magazine which is now debuting in print – and we were lucky enough to attend the launch party with some seriously stylish Betty girls.

As championed by blogger extraodinaire Susie Bubble, one of the most stylish girls on radio, Lauren Laverne, and fashion glossy Grazia, the mantra of this new quarterly magazine is to celebrate being one of the girls. For everyone from 18 to 80 we just love the vintage inspired fashion, hair tips, recipes and stories. So, let them tell you all about Betty….

What a stylish treat to find a delivery of the new My Wonderful World of Fashion title on our desk! Now in postcard form, this doodle book for fashionistas is filled with pretty postcards that'll ensure we stay in touch with friends by post rather than simply texting or emailing.

Whether creating a pattern for a dress or customising hats, we just have to make sure we have our fill of fun before the Design Team spy us and show us how it's really done. Featuring seriously cute images by illustrator Nina Chakrabarti we're hooked. Now, where did we put those felt tips...?

Do you often find you spend your Sunday morning de-tagging the less flattering Facebook photos you’re been tagged in from the night before? Quelle horreur! And whilst you idly flick through piles of fashion mags, do you feel you’re faced only with models and celebrities looking every inch the glamorous starlets even when popping out for a pint of milk?  We feel your pain! And whilst we love nothing more than a morning in the company of a stack of glossies (accessorised with a cupcake, naturally), and poring over the latest celebrity style queens,  sometimes it’s a little refreshing to see clothes outside of the photography studio and celebrities looking like it’s a Sunday morning rather than a Friday night.

It was with this in mind that we were so excited by the Drawing Fashion exhibition at the Design Museum in London. Located just by London Bridge (and a stone’s throw from Borough Market, so perfect for a delicious lunch with friends afterwards!), Drawing Fashion is a collection of some of the most fabulous fashion illustrations from the 20th and 21st Centuries. With all the glamour of couture and high fashion, you’ll be wowed by drawings from the collections of Chanel, Dior and McQueen. Described as ‘eye opening’ by Grazia HQ, grab the girls (or your art-loving boyfriend) and catch this exhibition before it ends on 6 March!

We are counting down the days to the Vogue Fashion Night Out! Held next Wednesday in our Argyll Street store, there are LOADS of prizes to be won! We have already heard of a few exciting things up for grabs but you’ll have to keep checking the website for more details on www.oasis-stores.com/vogue or keep your eye on our facebook and Twitter pages! You have to register first to receive a prize, then from 6pm on Wednesday 8th September we will send you alerts to let you know when the fabulous prizes are available throughout the night!

We will have djs The Broken Hearts on the decks and Benefit will be providing make-uppers all evening so you will be on your way to glam haven! You won’t want to miss this one!

Now that the weather seems to be cooling down (sob, that can’t have been the last of summer!), it is extremely difficult deciding what to wear! It’s not quite jacket weather yet but a trousers and top pairing are a great idea, especially when you are heading out. If you are brave enough it is still just about warm enough to go bare legged, just pack some tights for when dusk drops!

Some of the girls from buying and design recently jetted off to Saint - Tropez for an inspirational trip. As well as working (of course!) they spent time seeing the local sights and snapping some stylish looking girls.

Hotel La Maison Blanche – a gorgeous boutique hotel, right in the centre of town and just steps away from the markets.

Villa Romana – tucked away in a walled garden, spend your time star spotting while enjoying cocktails and the best cuisine in the village.

Nikki Beach – The place to be seen and a known hot spot for celebrities, VIP’s and beautiful people alike, perfect for style hunting.

Where to shop

The Place de Lices - Saint - Tropez’s open air market, with everything from fresh fruit and veg to Hard Rock Café t-shirts it’s open every Tuesday & Saturday.

What to wear

A Panama hat, ditsy prints, maxi dresses and summer wedges, accessorised with a tan and perfect for the pool or beach.

We had heard on the grapevine about a hot new lunch eatery opening up right round the corner from our office and couldn’t resist checking it out at lunchtime.
