Next up in our V&A Sunday Girl edit is Marketing Manager, Charlotte who made us fall even further in love (we didn’t think it was possible) with this pretty printed co-ord. We caught up with her to discover her favourite memories of the V&A and what she’ll be listening to this Summer.
My job title is…Marketing Manager
Which means I….Manage the marketing communications strategies for major exhibitions, displays, openings and events to raise awareness of the V&A brand. I’m currently working on Shoes: Pleasure and Pain and our major autumn exhibition, The Fabric of India. I also oversee the marketing and press team’s social media activity so no two days are ever the same.
My favourite thing about working at the V&A is…The building. Arriving at the Museum every morning is something pretty special. I also adore the variety – the collections, curators and projects. In the last few years I’ve gone from Hollywood costumes and David Bowie to Georgian architecture, Horst photography and shoes.
In Summer you’ll find me…Praying for UK sunshine now I’m back from my big holiday. Mostly I’ll be eating good food, seeing friends, visiting museums and taking trips to the Norfolk coast.
My favourite memory of the V&A is…Breaking ticket sales records with the David Bowie campaign – that exhibition was a real career high for me. My colleagues would out me for lying if I didn’t also mention being in very close proximity to David Beckham at the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty launch party!
My favourite thing about the shoot was…Visiting the iconic London landmarks on a weekday when we’re normally in the office. The photographer also revealed a few hidden gem side streets that felt very Sherlock Holmes.
My top Summer track is…The Heat, Jungle.
