SUNDAY GIRL – THE V&A EDIT: MEET EMILY

oasis-sunday-girl-v-and-a-edit

To celebrate our V&A collection (part two), we invited the girls from London’s most iconic museum to model their favourite printed piece. Up first is Communications Manager, Emily who sat down with us to talk all things V&A and spending Summer by the sea.

My job title is… Communications Manager

Which means I… look after the commercial marketing activities in the museum. I generate awareness of the V&A brand through retail, V&A Publishing and V&A Licensing – the profit these areas make gets returned to the museum to look after the collections, so that they can continue to inspire designers today, such as Oasis.

My favourite thing about working at the V&A is… the variety of work that the diverse exhibition programme offers us means it’s difficult to get bored. One minute it’s Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty the next is the V&A India Festival.

In Summer you’ll find me… by the sea, of course.

My favourite memory of the V&A is… looking around Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty for the first time.

My favourite thing about the shoot was… having a jaunt around Westminster mid-week.

My top Summer track is… Future Islands, Seasons.

Inspired by Emily’s outfit? Shop the look (and the rest of the collection) here.
