Because we’re going to the chapel and we’re going to get married…
Today we headed along to the press preview of the new exhibition at the V&A looking at Wedding Dresses through the ages and we have to say there were some stunning pieces!

Featuring dresses from 1775 all the way through to 2014, the exhibition showcases over 80 of the most romantic glamorous and extravagant dresses from the V&A’s collection. We were excited to see such iconic pieces as Kate Moss’s couture wedding number designed by John Galliano as well as Jamie Hince’s YSL suit and Gwen Stefani’s Dior number.

As we walked around the 2 floors filled with bridal wear, we felt like we were wandering through time taking in all of the dresses and accessories including jewellery, garters and veils alongside personal pictures and details about the wearers. In fact the pictures really bring the pieces to life and reveal some interesting details and insights into the life, circumstances and fashion choices of the wearers.

So if you’re in London this Bank Holiday weekend we highly recommend going to see the exhibition at tha V&A.
Tickets cost £12 and can be booked online.
